Platinum Group, the operator of retail, wholesale, hotels, and office buildings, has unveiled a major rebranding of The Market Bangkok, targeting international shoppers and tourists.
The move is a part of creating a new landmark under the concept “The Neighborhood of Platinum," elevating the area into a central business district (CBD) mega mixed-use ecosystem in the heart of Bangkok.

Surachai Chotjurangkool, the group’s chairman of the executive committee
Surachai Chotjurangkool, the group’s chairman of the executive committee, stated that the company has set a clear direction to elevate its three core business pillars, located in this strategic central Bangkok corridor, to integrate and enhance synergy across its assets. This is to strengthen long-term competitiveness while meeting the evolving needs of modern consumers, shoppers, tourists, and entrepreneurs.
The Market Bangkok, opposite the CentralWorld project in the Ratchaprasong district, will be rebranded as “Platinum Pop," with a new positioning as “The Centre of Bangkok’s Pop Life." The concept reflects the vibrant, ever-awake spirit of Bangkok—a city whose charm lies in its dynamic energy and spontaneous experiences.

From Iconic Yaowarat to New Iconic Destination
The first phase of The Market Bangkok will come up with “Lai Jie," an international food hub inspired by the enduring charm of Yaowarat. Located on the G and M floors, the 8,000 square meter space represents an investment of over 180 million baht. It will feature legendary eateries with over a century of heritage, iconic Yaowarat favorites, viral food trends, and must-visit culinary destinations for tourists. Opening is scheduled for June 2026. EVEANDBOY, a major beauty lifestyle brand, will debut the world’s first EVEANDBOY Café on the M floor, also set to open in June 2026.

Another key highlight is “TOFU Skincare Megamart," spanning over 7,200 square meters, which will offer a comprehensive range of beauty products and innovations, transforming shopping into a “beauty journey” experience for Thai and international customers as well as entrepreneurs. TOFU is scheduled to open in July 2026.
In addition, House of Littlebunny will also launch its mega flagship store on the first floor in August 2026 along with current tenants, including Starbucks on the ground floor; Momo Paradise and Rama 9 Kai Yang on the 3rd floor; and Let’s Relax Spa, 786 Salon, and MOS Dental Clinic on the 4th floor.

Phase 2 of Platinum Pop is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. The tenant mix will be adjusted, featuring hybrid retail and wholesale formats. The offering will span categories such as art toys and hobbies, gaming and gadgets, beauty and wellness, second-hand fashion and branded goods, coffee and tea selections, specialty cafés, bars and restaurants, and international buffets, creating an all-day, all-night hangout destination.
On the other hand, the Platinum Square project, currently under development on the opposite of Platinum Fashion Mall, will be renamed “Platinum Palais” and elevated into a regional fashion ecosystem supporting Thailand’s fashion industry on the global stage under the concept “Spectrum of Fashion." The project involves an investment of over 7.8 billion baht. The 48-story building will include four retail floors and the MAMA Shelter Bangkok Platinum hotel, operated by Ennismore, a joint venture with Accor, offering more than 500 rooms. The development spans approximately 100,000 square meters on a seven-rai site at the Pratunam intersection. The retail component is expected to open in 2028, followed by the hotel in 2029.
Shopping complexes under Platinum Group comprise three shopping centers—Platinum Fashion Mall, The Market Bangkok, and The Platinum Square—with a combined gross floor area of 345,475 square meters. It also has three hotels under its portfolio—Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, and Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum—with more than 1,300 rooms in total. In addition, the Pier 111 office building at The Market Bangkok provides 55,000 square meters of office space.
The development leverages the area’s prime city center location and comprehensive transport connectivity, including the Ratchaprasong skywalk linking directly to the projects and extending to Chit Lom and Siam BTS stations, as well as access to Pratunam Pier. A future Orange Line MRT project will further enhance connectivity.
"Our vision is to transform the area into more than a shopping and tourism district, but a global destination where people can live, meet, create opportunities, and enjoy integrated lifestyle experiences aligned with modern consumer behaviour,”Mr Surachai said.
He adds that this is not merely a change of name or logo but a comprehensive repositioning of business identity, purpose, and service values to align with today’s economic and social landscape, enhancing overall efficiency and enabling sustainable growth.
Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam Redefined
The group is also upgrading its hotel portfolio within “The Neighborhood of Platinum." Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam (288 rooms), located above Platinum Fashion Mall and operated by Accor, is undergoing phased renovations covering guestrooms, public areas, and the View Rooftop Bar. The 227-million-baht upgrade is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026.

New fusion rooftop Sato San at Moxy
Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong (504 rooms), located within Platinum Pop and operated by Marriott International, has recently launched a new rooftop bar on the 32nd floor, “Sato San," blending Thai-Isan and Japanese cultural influences through cuisine, craft, and atmosphere.
Sustainable growth landscape development
Despite ongoing economic and tourism challenges, the company remains committed to prudent business operations and sustainable growth. By strengthening long-term revenue streams and enhancing asset value, the phased completion of its projects is expected to significantly drive revenue growth and support a step-change in performance.
